Three departments, CSE, EE & ME were initiated. The first year had its highs and lows but was an exciting period that will be etched in the minds of the pioneer batch. In January 2009, IIT Bombay admitted 11 PhD students. On February, 27, 2009, the foundation stone of IIT Bombay was laid by Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Hon'ble Chairperson of UPA. For the 2009-10 academic year, IITH will be admitting 120 B.Tech. students, 35 M.Tech. students and 10-15 Ph.D. students.

Consolidated salary Rs.18000 - 26000 + Rs.2500.00/- Out Of Campus Allowance (if applicable) p.m.
Qualification A first class in B.Com with at least two years of experience of working in a reputed academic institution and handling routine office administration work such as processing bills, drafting letters, documentation, maintaining accounts, handling purchase tasks, etc. Candidates with excellent written and oral communication skills would be given preference. Working knowledge of MS-Office and internet is essential.
Job Profile Handling day-to-day routine office work, drafting letters, coordinating meetings, taking care of travel arrangements of faculty, local hospitality arrangements for official guests, processing of bills and reimbursement claims, maintenance of project accounts, handling logistics arrangements for workshops and conferences, handling purchase related tasks, etc.
