For the 2009-10 academic year, IITH will be admitting 120 B.Tech. students, 35 M.Tech. students and 10-15 Ph.D. students.

Qualification The candidate should have a Ph.D Degree in Physics / Chemistry / Materials Science / other branches of Engineering with two years of hands on experience in the areas of vacuum technology, chemical vapour deposition of thin films and plasma processing.
Job Profile The candidate is required to do experiments in the areas of radio frequency plasma generation, diagnostics of the generated plasma, reactive ion etching of the semiconductor (PIN) diode structures to make trenches of desired quality for filling it with boron carbide by chemical vapour deposition and metallization for making 3 D neutron detectors. The candidate should have two years of hands on experience in the areas of vacuum technology, chemical vapour deposition of thin films and plasma processing.
